There are only four weeks to go until Christmas and there are SO many people to buy for.
In the old days I used to get great pleasure from doing my Christmas shopping on Oxford Street. I’d feel as festive as Mary Christmas as I skipped around Liberty and Selfridges and picked out the perfect gifts for the perfect people.
Things have changed these days.
Number one, all my spare cash is now spent on a certain little lady so I can’t gift people quite as luxuriously as I used to.
Number two, the idea of going anywhere near busy, pre-Christmas shops with Poppy (who now INSISTS on walking EVERYWHERE) in tow fills me with dread.
So you know what that means?
It’s all about online shopping this year!
Now you’re probably far more organised than me so don’t need this, but I thought I’d do a gift guide of lovely things that I’ve found during my hours spent browsing the web (when Pops is napping and I should be doing the washing or something). A lot of the beauty recommendations come from my experience as a beauty journalist and they are tried and tested and really very good!
Today I’m doing a medley of gift ideas just for us….the ladies :0)
The Most Flattering Dress:
I have this dress in green and it looks incredible on. The knot bit makes it very flattering and it’s a really easy everyday dress to wear with tights and boots. It only costs £26 and you can buy it here. I think this would make a great gift for a sister/cool Aunt or just yourself!
A Great Face Cream
This is the face cream that every makeup artist swears by and I’ve been using it for years. It’s plumping, packed with vitamins and makes a perfect base for your makeup. It’s also multi-functional and can be used as a face-mask, shaving cream, cleanser and even on your baby’s bottom. Everyone needs a tube of Embryolisse! Buy it here.
The Best Cleanser EVER
Once you try Emma Hardie Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing Balm you will never want to go back. It is quite simply the best cleanser on the market and not only gets rid of every trace of makeup but will leave your skin feeling plump and beautiful. It’s not cheap but would make the most wonderful present for a lady that you really love. (Or for you!!) You can buy it here.
Liberty London Coin Purse
I adore the Liberty range and think that this coin purse is absolutely gorgeous and really luxurious. I would be so excited if I found this under the tree! You can find it here.
The Expensive Looking Hat
I spotted this £14 hat in Topshop recently and instantly fell in love with it. It comes in a variety of colours and is great fun. I think it looks rather designer too.
The Ultimate Body Oil
This is one of my favourite beauty products of all time. It is a non-greasy dry body oil that smells just exquisite. The combination of Neroli, Lavender, Rose and Mandarin make it totally irresistible and lead to much self-sniffing throughout the day. One for a lady that you really love or a treat for you :0). Available here for £48.
There’s 30% off everything at Boden this week and I’ve fallen in love with this jumper. What do you think? It’s 30% cashmere and will cheer up the coldest day. Get it here (low stock)
I’ll add to this list as and when I spot things but hope that it’s offered a bit of inspiration in the meantime. Men and little people to follow…
